To describe Altos del María is quite simple. It is a secluded residential community in the cool mountains of Panama. It is nestled just outside of Panama City and is a short ride from Panama’s Pacific coast beaches. The location is superb, especially for those who treasure a little isolation from all of the hustle and bustle. Because of the high altitude, you’re looking at refreshing mountain spring weather throughout most of the year (75º F / 24 Cº). Altos del Maria has breath-taking views of lush green hills, forests and wildlife. If you’re a lover of nature and appreciate all it has to offer, there are numerous places to walk, hike and explore.
Over the past few years, many Europeans and Americans have made Altos del María their permanent residence. It’s a countryside location perfect for anyone who wants to retire to a relaxing, peaceful, nature-filled community. On our Panama Discovery Tours, we love taking people through this part of Panama.
